Gomathi's Marriage Reception

On June 5th (Sunday) evening myself and Fredric went to Gomathi's Marriage Reception. Only four from our college. Two of them are Gomathi's room mates at Madurai. It was a half-an hour drive from our house at Thiruvanmiyur. We felt very tired, it is like going to Thirumangalam from Madurai. The Reception was fine. We had a snap with the couple and had a good dinner.

Long walk along the sea shore

Last Sunday, 23rd May was great as i met some of my friends. On Saturday, Maddy (Karthikeyan) and Jagu (Jagadeesh) came to Chennai to attend the Verizon AT. After writing their AT both came to our room at Thiruvanmiyur. We had some chats about our past college life and shared information about our friends. Maddy left our room by 8pm. Jagu stayed with us. On Sunday, Madavan went to meet his friend Murugaiyya and Sathappan went to his relatives house. Myself, Jagadesh(ECE), Fredric, Jagu and Alagar went to Besant Nagar Beach in the evening. We spent some time at the beach and started to walk along the sea shore till Thiruvanmiyur(3 to 4 km from Besant Nagar). It was a full moon day and the sea looked superb in the moon light. It was a superb "Scenary". We walked all the way till our room making fun at the pairs sitting in the beach and our fellow friends. Finally, i had one more good sunday at Chennai. Back home, my thought was about going to office the next day!!! This has become a routine.....

First Sunday after joining my Company

This Sunday time went very quickly. On sunday (15-5-05) i woke up by 7 am and i started off from my house to Venkatesh's sister house by 8.30 am. I just got the
bus stop name and the bus number to board from Venkatesh and went alone. The bus didn't stop at the stop i asked for so i got down one stop earlier. From there i walked upto 1 kilometer but could not find the area said by venkatesh. So, i walked back again to the place were i got down and called him. He came and took
me to his sister's house.

After one week i got a good coffee there. I was talking with his mom and dad for sometime. Then we two went to Spencers in his brother-in-law's bike. I am going to Spencers for the first time. So, lots of expectations about Spencer. At spencers we went to Pizzahut and had two pepsi and a pizza bill 262 rupees. Then we went to T. Nagar to buy a shirt and T-shirt for me. I bought them and he bought two T-shirts for him.

Then from there we went to his sister's house again and he packed off his things. Again we started to his Aunts house in Vellacherri a place far away from his
sister's house. On the way we had our lunch at Madurai Appa Mess, a good NV lunch.

Then we both went to his Aunts house. From there he left to T'nelveli by 5 pm and i started with him. I was all alone in an unknown area. I asked a person to show me the way to Thiruvanmiyur. He told me to go to a stop called "Vijaya nagar" and from there he told i would be getting bus to Thiruvanmiyur. I walked some 1 km again to reach Vijayanagar and there got a bus to my stop. Reached my house by 6.30 pm.

At about 8pm we guys went to a beach nearby and had some cool air in the hot Chennai.

This sunday went swiftly as i was fully packed up with these activities.

Final Semester Results

My final semester results were out on May 9th. This is the first time I was not there in college to see my result in all these four years. When I was moving to Egmore from Tidel, Ranjani called me and told me my GPA and also told a sad news that 35 got failed in OSD. It is really a bad news as many of the students who failed have got placed. I think they would consider these facts in re-evaluation and would do good for everyone. Kumaran gave me the entire result with my marks by 10 pm on May 9th when i was at a Hotel having my Doosa!

I got a total of 648 with a GPA 8.67

First Day of my First Job

As everyone will be very eager, ancious and excited about the First Day oftheir First Job, so was me on May 9th (The day i joined iNautix). Once i have heard my seniors telling me about the fantacies of Tidel Park and the security over there. And now i am going to work there. It was a nice feeling. A person without an Identity card will find it difficult to enter Tidel.

Myself and Fredrick started from our house by 7.15 am. We had our breakfast in a small hotel. Then we took an auto(being the first day) to reach Tidel. At the gate Madavan(IT) from our college was waiting. We three started our journey to iNautix. Even the security guards speak english at Tidel. We showed them our Call letter and they told the procedure to enterTidel. The first thing we have to do is to get a Visitor Pass, normally a long queue will be there to get the visitors pass at peak hours. Even theSecurity guards room is air conditioned. We got our pass and then enteredTidel. Tidel, a huge building..... My eyebrows raised.

Then we went to get a lift to 10th floor. The lifts over here are very fast, within seconds it reaches 10th floor. We went there very early. By 8.30 am we were in the reception of iNautix. One of the HR received as and asked as to wait in the "Cafet Area", a place to have coffee in iNautix. Slowly people gathered and by 9.15 they started the formalities. First they asked as to group ourselves in alpahbetical order. It took 15 minutes to gather in alphabetical order. Then, they asked as to enter our details and gave us our Employee ID. Then we had a coffee break and all rushed to have our coffee (Free !!!). I thought of Mahesh, if he is here he would finish all the available coffees and teas.

Then our joining formalities continued till 11.45 am. We were asked to fillup the PF form, Details about us, Health Insurance form, Insurance form. All new experience. Then one of the HR gave the general facts and the history of our company. It continued for an hour. He said that we were put into Open Systems training (C, C++, Java, J2EE, .NET) and also gave the information that our Training faculty will be very strict. At about 1.30 we departed for our lunch. Again by 2.30 pm we were back to business.

Now we have to fill up a form to open a bank account. Representatives from CitiBank came and gave instructions and we followed up. We were given a package containing Debit Card, Check leaves and a Help guide. Yeah, now I own a Debitcard for myself!!!. After these formalities were over one of the associates of our company came and gave instructions to be followed when we have a fire accident. Everyone were stunned, first day giving instructions about Fire Exit. The associate told that it is just for formaility and nothing bad has happenned till date.

My first day at iNautix got over by 4pm and we all left Tidel by 5 pm. From there i went to Egmore to see my parents. I showed them the things given by the company. At about 7pm we started to Marina Beach and spent some time there. Marina beach, full of pairs :-). From there we went to Titan showroom and i bought a Watch for myself. After having our dinner, i stayed with my parents that night.

Last Week End

I have to join iNautix on May 9th. So, i reserved tickets for my journey to Chennai with my family on May 6th. It was told that our eighth semester results will be published on May 6th. With an idea of seeing my results and then moving i bought the tickets on May 6th evening 6:30 train (Nagerkoil - Chennai Special). As it is always with our college the result was not released on May 6th.

Sap, Mani and Thirunavukarasu (Dhaavud) came to give me send off. I was happy that my friends turned out to be there with me for that 15 minutes at railway station. Our train started on time and we reached Chennai on May 7th morning 4:45 am.

May 7 :

We booked a room at a lodge by 6:15 am near Egmore. Had some rest and then we got ourselves ready and went to Thiruvanmiyur to see the house. Fredrick was there with his father, we spent some time over there and returned to our room after having lucnch.

And in the evening we went to Villivaakam to a relatives house and then went to Thiruverkaadu temple. On the way back we went to another relatives room at Vadapalani. Our plan of going to Vadapalani temple was a failure as the temple is closed(It is very late in the night). We returned back to the room and slept.

May 8 :

We started off very early from the lodge room and kept all my things at the Thiruvanmiyur house. From there i went to Kovalam beach(the one in Chennai), Mahabalipuram and the beach there with my family. On our way back we went to the Crocodile Bank. It was really a nice experience over there. I saw the poison being picked out of a snake live. The guys working there gave some useful tips about snakes and about the first aid measures to be taken after a snake bite. I saw many varities of Crocodiles, Turtles, Tortoise and Snakes. A good experience to be had by everyone regardless of their age.

After that my parents dropped me at the Thiruvanmiyur house and they went to their room. From there life being with parents has come to an end for me. A new life started, with me to take care of myself has started....

Myself and fredrick then went to beach in our area at about 8 pm. Spent some time over there and on our way back we had our dinner. After settings things that are needed for our appointment the next day... we went to heaven (slept).

Nice weekend has come to an end....!!!! Hope to get more like this....

Local Temples

Monday, i did some useful work arranging my shelves. Again on Tuesday i went to some of the local temples in our city with my family.

Yesterday morning i was just watching the "Idiot Box" seeing some new songs. Then John called me to Periyar as he was leaving to Dharmapuri. We had our lunch at Jeyaram Bakery and he started to his native. I was surfing the net for 2 hours and reached my house by 4 pm.

Again my temple visits started by 5 pm. To begin with me and my dad went to "Pandi Kovil" near Maathuthavani. We returned home by 6pm. Again by 6:30 pm myself, dad, mom and my sister went to a nearby "Kaamakshi Temple". Again by 8 pm we all went to "Meenakshi Amman Temple" and saw the "Palliarrai Pooja". We returned home by 10 pm.

Another good day with my family....!!!

Temple Visits

On Sunday i had a good time with my family going to temples.

May 1 (Sunday) :

It was a planned trip. Our family with two of my father's colleague families started off from madurai by 6 A.M. in a mini bus. First we went to "Pillaiyarpatti". On the way we had our breakfast. At "Pillaiyarpatti" we had a good "Dharsan". The thing i liked about the temple is that there is no special tickets or admissions. Everyone has to form a single queue and worship "Ganesh". Good work by the Temple Management.

Then we went to "Thavasi Malai" near Pudukkotai. The temple is famous for "Bairavar". The temple was very simple and they were performing a "Yagam". We took part in it. It was very nice because the devotees can go near the Statue and even touch the Lord. After the "Yagam", the temple management has arranged for "Annadanam". We had our lunch there. Their hospitality was wonderful.

By 2:30 PM we started moving to "Samayapuram". Since it was on Sunday we expected a huge crowd. To our surprise there was a reasonable crowd and not a huge one. Thank God... At "Samayapuram" we all enjoyed the activities of a small elephant. It was very small and doing nauthy things. Thought of taking a snap of the elephant, but the people around there didnot allow me to take the snap. After coming out of the temple i rang to Mahesh and talked with him. He told me he would see me on the way to Madurai from Trichy near his house.

Then we went to "SriRangam" temple. We reached there by 5:30 pm. They told that the temple will be closed from 6pm to 7pm for special pooja. We rushed inside the temple and managed to get the "Dharshan" by 6pm sharp.

The worst fact is that at SriRangam temple there is no "Free Dharshan". If you want to see the God you have to pay atleast 2 rupees. A temple without "Free Dharshan", really bad.

Then we took off from Trichy to Madurai. I could not meet Mahesh, as he had some guests in his house and has to attend to them. Near Trichy bus stand we went to a hotel and had our dinner. It was fun at the hotel. Everyone ordering an item and getting someother thing to eat.

The trip was all over and we reached our house by 12 pm.

Date of Joining iNautix

It has been long long time since i have blogged. On 20th of this month we all finished our last theroy exam of our undergraduation. I was not aware of a pleasant shock awaiting for me. That evening Fredrick messaged me we have got our Date of Joining iNautix. I rang to Hari and confirmed the news. I could not believe it. It was a mixture of feeling for me. On one side i was happy that we are going to be the first to enter into the corporate world. On the other side all my plans of having fun for the whole of May was shatterred. Now i have mailed all my seniors and all those i know to suggest me as to where i can stay at Chennai so that i could be nearer to Tidel Park. I am leaving Madurai on May 6th after getting my eight semester results. Yesterday I reserved tickets for our journey. Myself with pa, ma and sister are going to Chennai. We have our Project Viva voce on Monday and after that all our exams are over.

Snooker........

I am writing my blog after nearly a month. Yesterday myself along with Joe, Sap, Knk and Balamurugan went to Cosmos and had a good time over there playing Snooker. It was the first time i am playing the game. We were there for nearly four hours. I really enjoyed it. For the first one hour or so i was not able to hit the ball correctly. After that i was able to hit the ball with some power but could not pocket the balls correctly. It was really great afternoon over there. It all happened because there was no power in our college labs. I was on my way to my house, suddenly Keyan rang me and asked me to come to Cosmos. Thanks for the Electricity Board.

Results........

Finally i got my results on Friday. As usual they said it will be put on the notice board by 2 p.m but the results were displayed only by 4 p.m. This time i got 9 GPA (682 out of 800). This is the highest mark i have scored in my B.E. right from the first semester. I could not believe the results. We students dont know how they correct the papers. When we expect more marks we dont get it. But many unexpected things happens in our results. Still 2 more days to go, we will be back to our routine.....

Trip to Trichy

Myself and Sap went to Mahesh's house on Sunday evening. We started from Maathuthavani by Sunday evening 6 p.m and reached his house by 9 p.m. His mom was not there. So, only Mahesh prepared the dinner and lunch for the next day. We went to Attakasam, what a wonderful film, we cant sit even for half an hour. On Monday evening we went through Bazaar streets and met Suba Siva. Had dinner at Shanthi-Sager restaurent. Tuesday morning we woke up by 5 a.m. Then started to SriRangam by 6 am, had a good time in the temple with less crowd. Then went to Prashant's house, saw his brother's marriage and reception albums. He came to Sitthi Vinayagar Temple with us and then started to Madurai by 1:45 pm and reached Madurai by 4:45 pm. Had two good days in Trichy.....

After a Looooooooooong Time.....

After a long time iam here surfing the net..... It has been a tiresome 2 weeks becoz of semester exams..... At last all the exams are over.... But the next tension has started.... coz the result is on 19th of this month.......

Wasted 1 week of study hols.....

For the past 7 days i have not touched my books. Monday i went to college to get Hall ticket and to submit assignment to Quarter. Then in the evening sat before tv and the day is all over.... Tuesday, woke up very early by 10 a.m and continued watching tv.... had my lunch and a good sleep in the afternoon..... then took my bike and went to Jk's house, he was not there and so went to Meena's house, i saw her father for the first time. Spent some time in her house, had 5 dosa's.... After my dinner thought of teaching OR to her but rain came and so i left her home.... Tuesday is over.......On wednesday, same story woke very late, spent time in tv and in the afternoon myself with kesavan went to sk's house to see OR 4th and 5th unit.... but for my surprise even sk has not studied those units.... he thaught us a little in 4th unit...... then we returned home. On Thursday, i went to college to see OR mam to get some idea about 4th unit... but all in vain.... Myself, sk and kumaran were there and she thaught us the general formulas and concepts to be applied.... i was not satisfied with that...... Then went to Kn's house by 2 pm, there kesavan, nat, sap, alagar, maddy were all there.. We have planned to see OR 4th unit and most of the time v were having fun..... our target was kesavan....... i spent the whole evening there at Kn's house and reached home by 7:30 pm.... had my dinner and went to Diwali shopping with my pa and mom...... thursday is over. Today it is friday, still i have not touched anything..... i am very afraid of those exams...... Only God should save me....
GOD IS GREAT......

Super Aaaaaaaaaaatam.......

It was really an exiting night.... Full of fun and enjoyment.... We guys took snaps everywhere we like at night time...... Roamed around the college and had lots of fun.... I dont know whether i would get another such night..... Great fun, laugh and i enjoyed everymoment of it......

Very Boring

Classess were very boring. I am not feeling well.I slept in the class for about 45 minutes, then came home and had a good sleep. I am feeling very tired and not able to do even small works. Mom suggessted me to sleep early.

Cyber Work

Cyber night labs.... Keyan had an accident so didn't come to lab.....
we all thought everyone would come.... but keyan and mani didn't
come.......

Good Entertainment

We had very good entertainment in the lab after 6:30 pm. My friends were dancing for many songs.
